CPO vehicles generally come with limited warranties. Kia, for example, offers its industry-leading 10-year / 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and its 1-year / 12,000-mile Platinum Coverage, which is a warranty that covers the steering, brakes, air-conditioning, suspension, batteries, tires, wheels, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, filters, hoses, safety restraint systems, audio and security systems, and several other assemblies of the vehicle.
And there’s usually additional benefits on top of the warranties. Kia will pair each CPO vehicle with Travel Breakdown Coverage for up to $100 per calendar day and up to $500 per incident, Emergency Towing Coverage for up to $75 per incident, Rental Car Coverage for up to $35 per day up to 10 days, and a Cross Country Motor Club Driver’s OneCard that provides services for flat tires, running out of gas, locking yourself out of the car, and jump-starting.
So while there’s plenty of options for you if you’re looking at buying used, we hope we’ve made our point: CPO vehicles are definitely worth consideration, too. To learn more about CPO vehicles and see what’s available in your area
