TRAIL TEAMS FJ Cruisers are AMAZING!
I love these trucks! They are comfortable and versatile. I have owned several and will only drive an FJ Cruiser. The towing capacity is amazing and it’s a low maintenance vehicle - Purchased a Used car

Not what they make it out to be
Well they obviously brag on these cars and the design looks like it's some kind of safari car with this compass and equator thing and temperature that's on top of the dash but I think that if they're going to promote and try and design a safari car they should make the dash out of a heavier more solid material it's some kind of weird plastic and I live up a bumpy dirt road every day that's why I bought this car and I don't go very fast and it does not handle the bumps well at all it's a very bumpy ride even when I go slow and after going up and down 2 years my whole dash rattles when I drive and so to tighten it all up you got to have the whole thing removed so to me that's not a good design for what they promote as a so-called safari car, Or off-road car whatever they want to call it. Furthermore I'm really not too impressed with the four-wheel drive and the a track and all that stuff I don't get up the hill any easier when there's ice and snow then I did with my Nissan frontier my Nissan frontier had better four-wheel drive when I put this thing into four-wheel drive I don't feel that big of a difference at all and it's still slides and skids on ice. Seems like the only good thing is that mine the 2008 has a chain tranny and they say they can go up to 300,000 miles. Furthermore more it's squeaks the joints or whatever the doors and everything squeaks. I bought the car used it only had 60,000 miles on it and after 2 years of using it needing to get up and down a dirt bumpy road every day this is what it does and it's never really made me feel safe when there's snow and ice I still will charge up my old Nissan frontier with the front wheel hubs four-wheel drive because really clings and it works way better. - Purchased a Used car

Selling My FJ Cruiser Was a Mistake!
By many standards this is NOT a good car. It has MASSIVE blind spots, questionable gas milage, and offers all the driving discomforts of a jeep wrangler. But what this vehicle has that a jeep wrangler hasn't had in decades is character. What a special little SUV this thing is. It has three windshield wipers, an almost completely waterproof interior, and unique retro styling. I just love the way both the interior and exterior look on this car. But the FJ Cruiser's unique features and characters aren't the only value it brings to the table. It of course demonstrates Toyotas famous reliability. This Car is almost indestructible. It also boasts and amazing off-road capability and ruggedness. Selling my FJ Cruiser was a MASSIVE mistake not only because of how much I miss it but also because they have almost doubled in value since I sold mine. I almost want to write an insanely negative review about the FJ in a feeble attempt to bring its value down so I can buy one again. - Purchased a Used car

Toyota Reliability, Toyota Value
My FJ Cruiser is basically a second vehicle to use on the weekends in the mountains, and also an extra 4wd vehicle to have during the winter months. The one I purchased has every mod that I would have done myself. Lift kit, off road tires/rims, aftermarket stereo. - Purchased a New car

Big Letdown
You're going to buy this car because in a quirky way, you like it. I actually had a $24,000 credit at a Toyota dealership (not a Yota fan) and this was the only thing I liked. Then, I drove it. For a 4 liter engine, you get horrible torque and acceleration and the fuel economy is awful. Put it this way, I get the same mileage in my current daily driver, a 2008 Hummer H2. I loved the interior. I'm big on the rubber floors for spills. It was reliable. Also, it was a good value. I sold it for $400 less than I got it retail. That said, I wouldn't recommend one. - Purchased a Used car

Gas usage not bad for size
Over all. No major issues. EXCEPT floor to Seat hight is too small. Very bad for back and posture. Passenger always complain of lower hip is in poor position. Legs need to bend at the knees not out straight. - Purchased a Used car

This is Toyota's best made 4x4 !
This 4x4 exceeded my expectations of a reliable and fun to drive vehicle. It would be interesting if Toyota made a hybrid of this someday. - Purchased a New car

Reliable Vehicle with a nice look
I’ve had my 2008 FJ for nine years now. I still get compliments on it and ask if they can purchase it from me. The only money I’ve put into it is buying new tires every 2 years and regular oil changes. The back of the FJ is so long and y’all that I’ve fit trees in the back of it and opened the back window so the tip of the tree can hang out. I use the back of the FJ like you would a truck. There’s that much room and easy to clean. My one complaint is that it’s not comfortable for long car rides. I have back problems so it’s makes very uncomfortable at times. The tire air pressure light does come on all the time. I believe it’s a recall though. The radio also stopped working. Also, I don’t recommend it for a young driver. It’s hard to see if a car is next to you while driving due to how small the back windows are. It’s also hard to back out with having a large front in. I definitely got my money’s worth out of my FJ. It’s a shame they stop making them. - Purchased a Used car

BEST vehicle if live in the northern mtn. states
Complete with 4-wheel drive, this vehicle gave me the confidence to get through the bad spring and fall mountain road conditions in Montana. I lived in the Little Belts for many years and the FJ is the best vehicle I’ve had for getting me out of sticky situations. This is not only my main vehicle, but my only one. - Purchased a Used car
