Cavallino Rosso St Louis
Seller’s notes about this car
This European-market Dino was purchased from DPM Classics in Monaco and delivered to the legendary Toni Auto of Maranello for a full bare-metal restoration, completed in December 2021 at a cost of over 200,000 EUR (~$250,000 USD). The car was subsequently airfreighted to Los Angeles and transported via enclosed carrier to Grand Prix Motors in Campbell, California. There, Ferrari specialist Juan Villarreal performed a full inspection, carburetor tuning, timing adjustments, and a compression testall of which confirmed the car's mechanical excellence. This remarkable Dino is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from official Ferrari dealer Scuderia Monte-Carlo, restoration documents, owners manuals, toolkit, and matching full-size spare tire.
Upon arrival at Cavallino Rosso St. Louis, this Dino 246 GT underwent a comprehensive inspection by a Ferrari Master Technician. Any outstanding maintenance or repairs required will be performed prior to delivery, ensuring the next owner receives this historically significant vehicle in peak mechanical and cosmetic condition.
Performance: Powered by its mid-mounted, numbers-matching 2.4L Dino 65 V6 engine, this 246 GT produces 195 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine features dual overhead camshafts, triple Weber carburetors, and Magneti Marelli ignition, delivering responsive power and a characteristically intoxicating exhaust note. Handling is superb thanks to independent suspension with unequal-length A-arms, coilover shocks, front and rear anti-roll bars, and vacuum-assisted disc brakes on all four corners.
