  • Satisfied

A bit pricey and mpg declines much faster than expected. Takes awhile to get it back closer to advertised. Other than that,I have been happy with this vehicle.

  • My little singing CRV

I love my CRV Hybrid. It is roomy, comfortable, dependable and safe. My grandchildren are messy and it is so easy clean. We are all very happy with my little singing Hybrid.

  • Pros outweigh cons. Would buy it again.

Likes: Reliability, short turning radius, front and rear seating is comfortable and spacious. Ride is fine for us. Adaptable cruise is GREAT, except with snow or even rain (sometimes) it is disabled. Dislikes: Road noise pretty noticeable on many roads...I suspect tires. Speaking of (Hankook) tires, vehicle has 25k on it and tires are pretty worn already. Tires are rated for 70k when I shop...good luck on that. Center console not designed well imo. Floor mats started pulling snaps up almost immediately (driver's side). And one other thing (my fault)...I assumed car this well equipped (and pricy) would have backup sensors. IT DOES NOT. You'll have to go to Touring for that. Guess I should have checked. Would buy again, but might bite the bullet and get a Touring.

  • Many Yessses and plenty of annoyances.

Almost everything is very good to great. However the user interface is quite a bit annoying with several glitches. There is no tachometer. There is no engine temp or oil pressure gauge. You can use the left paddle to add electrical braking, but it doesn't stay enabled and you can't turn it off with the paddle. The gas gauge does not have any gradations and there is no full or empty tic marks and the intermediate steps shrink so it's hard to judge how much gas you have. There are far too many display pages an at least half of them are meaningless and useless. The radars are unreliable. As is lane-departure. The radio takes several seconds to boot up and the buttons for switching from satellite to AM/FM are inscrutable. The heating/AC controls are hard to use, being split between physical buttons and touch-screen text buttons. Leg room is limited in the back. The dealer added $900 in unwanted trinkets worth about $35. The gas filler is the capless type that looks fragile and leak-prone. The hood and gas-cap releases are unreachable for anybody over 210 pounds or 6-foot-2. Some of the stalks swing and some twist and one does both. There are six misc buttons to the lower left that are hard to see and impossible to understand the pictographs on them. There is no way to tell where the corners or the bumpers of the car are. The rear camera gives a rather distorted view which requires a lot of brain-work to interpret. The user's guide is about 350 pages of 3-point helvetica. Gray text on light-gray paper. Unreadable due to length and font size and colors. I can't figure out how to keep the rear doors from locking. One of the MPG displays is useless, it shows instantaneous MPG which is meaningless, showing infinity if you lift your foot off the gas and showing zero at stoplights. Smoothness and acceleration are really good, as is the responsiveness of the brakes and steering. Almost drives like a sports car. We're going to keep it even though I am going tsk-tsk all the time while driving it.

CVT is perfect. Electric mode quiet. Very responsive acceleration is great. Sport mode and paddle speed control perfect for Blue Ridge pkwy travel. Been driving for 70 years. Best car of all the rest. Soon quiet

Beautiful , comfortable, and reliable with advanced and easy to use safety electronics. Driver’s seat needed small rework ($150) to better fit me as I am so short.

  • Nice car, not perfect but close to be perfect

Nice car, I purchased. It is my first vehicle. Most important things, I like about car is comfort and sound. In the hybrid mode, it is too silent compared to other cars I test drive. Mileage is as expected as manufacture suggested. Good car if you have to travel in lots of traffic, it will run electric function and save fuel.

  • So far so good

I enjoy my new car from Honda, like anything I recommend doing the research before buying to avoid disappointment, the one item that some people commented on I have noticed which is the acceleration issue to highway speeds. The vehicle sounds like it is overreving to try to accelerate in these circumstances and I wonder if it is an issue of the CVT or something to do with the regenerative system, but I knew about this going into it. The other thing I learned when researching the vehicle was about how to release the car from the limited mode that it is in by default with the navigation /phone interface system which allows for a better experience. Beyond those items the car if very roomy and handles well with a surprisingly good turn radius and maneuverability. Gas mileage definitely varies depending on how and if you use regenerative breaking properly or not but is significantly better than most any other vehicle of a comparable size. Getting accessories and liners for the Hybrid is a little more challenging than a standard CR-V as it does not have the standard interior design and layout and as such the custom fit items tend to be in shorter supply.

  • Reliable, Spacious, Gas Saver

We wanted a Hybrid SUV and looked at this and the RAV-4 and even Highlander. The Honda CR-V was much more spacious than the RAV-4 and we liked the ride. Our last Honda lasted 15 years with no major issues. We love our CR-V Hybrid Touring model. Three things to know - 1) If you want an AWD version of the CR-V then the cost difference between the regular CR-V and the Hybrid is like $1200 bucks because the hybrid only comes in AWD. 2) While the CR-V is considered reliable there have been some complaints about the base CR-V 1.5T engine. The hybrid uses a much more reliable and proven Honda 2.0L engine. 3) The benefits of the gas savings on the hybrid really only come when you drive it mostly in City or Local town under 45 and stop and go. If your driving alot of highway millage its going to get the same MPG as the regular CR-V.

  • Great decision to switch from Toyota to Honda

I have been shopping past two month hybrid suvs and narrowed between RAV4 hybrid and Honda CRV Hybrid. After maybe 10-12 most important comparisons I decided Honda CRV Hybrid EX-L model. My top reasons to pick this car over RAV4 hybrid; 1) both interior and exterior significantly better materials used. Honda CRV interior quality superb, clean, simple, easy to use and stylish. It’s like Acura grade set up. Exterior paint, quality of parts (side mirrors installed over body of the car vs. RAV4 on the door which shakes if you close the door fast) and many more... 2) Almost every exist technology is standard at CRV hybrid while RAV4 only upper trims. Lane departure, Cruise assist, speed maintain auto, blind spot, back up camera with sensors and a few more! I found same features only at RAV4 XSE model which is $37K vs. Honda $32K. 3) Handling is fantastic: It’s a car for every day driving, quiet, comfortable and smooth handling vs. RAV4 is sporty and less quiet and smooth. It’s more off road suitable. 4) Honda AWD system vs RAV4: Honda us traditional AWD system which main engine and electric engine handles together vs. RAV4 back tires are connected to only the electric engine and delays integration a few seconds, and power might lack! 5) Honda is more roomy interior both seating and the truck space (except the under cover area in the trunk. No spare time, but air compressor) 6) the leather seats are better quality in Honda vs RAV4. 7) Honda was offering 0% interest for up to 48-59 months but Toyota only offers max 3 years; longer terms quite a bit higher APR. 8) Toyota about $4-6K higher price vs. comparable trims of Honda. I’m sure I am forgetting a few more. However my point is; I’m very happy to decide 2021 Honda CRV HYBRID EX-L over Toyota as overall great car great value!

I am pleased with the Hybrid. This is my first and I am still getting used to the differences. I am planning a major trip across the USA and am looking forward to saving lots of money on higher gas mileage.
