(upbeat music) Cars.com's American Made Index is a data-driven analysis of which new cars on sale today are the most American. The Index helps shoppers see which cars have the strongest impact on the U.S.
economy, an important factor in today's global auto industry. A car can be assembled in one country with parts from dozens of others and with a badge on the car's hood from an automaker that could be an ocean away from where it goes on sale. To create the AMI, Cars.com analyzes five primary factors, location of final assembly, percentage of U.S. and Canadian parts, country of origin for both available engines and available transmissions, and U.S. manufacturing employees relative to the automaker's footprint. For 2024, we've ranked 100 vehicles after analyzing more than 400 cars. But whether it's vehicle number one or vehicle number 100, making the Index is a big deal because these cars are positively impacting the economy. So which cars are the most American? Here are the top 10 vehicles for 2024. Number 10, Lexus TX, number nine, Tesla Model X, number eight, Jeep Gladiator, number seven, Toyota Camry, number six, Honda Ridgeline, number five, Honda Odyssey, number four, Tesla Model S, number three, Volkswagen ID.4. number two, Honda Passport, and number one is the Tesla Model Y.
