(car engine roaring) The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica comes with an optional in-car vacuum and we clogged it. Pretty badly, in fact. During a Goldfish test where we tried to see just how well it sucks up pretty traditional on the floor mess.
So we dug into the owner's manual and we looked to see how we unclog it. And the first step that they say is to extend the hose, turn it on, and try to unclog whatever's in there. And we definitely have a clog here 'cause we can pull the hose out, (Goldfish rattling) and hear just all of those Goldfish in there, and they're just trickling out of the host. So let's just yank this bad boy out as far as we can, turn the vacuum on. (vacuum whirring) It sounds promising. All right, let's see. (vacuum whirring continues) Okay, I did it. (tape scratching) So, we lied. As soon as we went and tried to use the vacuum again, we had a clog in the same spot. This time, even worse. So we went into the back where the hose attaches. You just open the back door here, and then you'll have a little area for the attachments and your tire repair kit, and below that there's a door. You open up the door and that's where the hose attaches. So to release the hose, you push in on the yellow lever and you pull up on the hose and then it comes out. And this was where our clog was. It was down here at the neck where it curves into the the bin back here. So we had to crush up the hose to unlodge the Goldfish, and then they all came spewing out. They came spewing out the front of the hose, they came spewing out the back of the hose. It's a mess in here, but now we have a functional vacuum to clean it up. (vacuum whirring) (trunk door thuds)
