Vehicles affected: Approximately 141,000 model-year 2009-12 Mitsubishi Lancer sedans, model-year 2010-12 Lancer Sportback hatchbacks, model-year 2008-12 Outlander SUVs and model-year 2011-12 Outlander Sport SUVs
The Problem: The drive belt automatic tensioner may crack and detach, which will cause the battery to discharge and the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the belt tensioner, as necessary, for free.
