Do you want to buy a new car but don’t feel like making a payment for four months? Then Nissan has the deal for you. The company is offering a “No Payments Until 2007” sale on all 2006 and 2007 models. The deal begins today and ends Oct. 2, and you get 130 days from the date of purchase before you have to write a check. The deal applies everywhere in the U.S. except for Michigan, Maine and Pennsylvania.
Nissan is in a bit of a slump as it waits for new products to come to market, though its all-new Versa subcompact is selling well. A redesigned Sentra is expected in showrooms this fall. The company hopes the gimmicky sale will spur more interest than would straightforward incentives that, you know, lower the price of the vehicle. Nissan’s current “Bottom Line” sale offers more traditional cash-back and low-payment deals and ends Sept. 5.
