Dodge released a slew of new images of the upcoming 2007 Dodge Nitro in its three trims: the entry level SXT (shown above), mid-level SLT and top of the line R/T. In the latest release, we also learn that the R/T’s V-6 engine has gained horsepower from earlier figures, bringing the total to 260 hp. The SXT and SLT’s engines remain rated at 210 hp. While we had seen plenty of shots of the R/T before now, the other trims hadn’t been shown off, nor had the Nitro’s interior features, like the sliding cargo floor and entertainment systems. The SXT sports rather large, plastic molded body panels and bumpers that may not thrill buyers shelling out $19,225 for the entry-level model.

When the Nitro goes on sale next month it will feature Chrysler’s new MyGig hard drive-based multimedia system already announced as an option in the upcoming Chrysler Sebring. Click below for more photos.
