As we struggle through the last month of summer, Audi is announcing pricing for the all-new A4 and S4 Cabriolet models. The convertibles may be arriving to the warm-weather party a bit late, but they come well-equipped.
The base A4 comes with Audi’s peppy 200-hp turbo engine and costs $39,100 with front-wheel drive and $41,200 for the all-wheel-drive Quattro model. A 3.2-liter V-6 version produces 255 hp, comes with Quattro standard and will cost $46,950.
Topping the model range is the S4. Housed under its hood is a 340-hp V-8 that has proven to be a joy to drive in the S4 sedan. All that power comes with a price: $55,700. None of the prices include the $720 destination charge.
The 2007s are a huge leap forward from the outgoing 2006 models and cost roughly $1,000 more. That’s a relative bargain for the performance value they provide. Expect to see the convertibles at American Audi dealerships sometime before the end of 2006.
