June was a tough month for nearly every automaker in total sales, but there were many models flying off the lots. We’re not just talking hybrids either, although the fastest-selling car in June was the Toyota Prius. Ironically, the second-fastest selling model was the new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Even with its limited production and massive advance sales, it managed to meet our sales threshold for the month. Six of the top 10 movers were Toyota, Lexus or Scion models.
We’re still unsure how it’s taking massively popular hybrids days to sell, because most dealers tell us they sell before they roll off the trucks. There is a distinct variation between models, though, so we’re going to stick with the data we have. Check out the top 10 movers and losers below.
