The problem: Affected vehicles may experience squealing from the rear brakes when applied. This may be due to a problem with the rear brake pads. This problem does not affect performance.

- 2013 Volkswagen Beetle
- 2014 Volkswagen Beetle
- 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
- 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
- 2013 Volkswagen Jetta
- 2014 Volkswagen Jetta
Corrective action: Dealers will replace the rear brake pads and rotors.
Warranty info: This service bulletin is being performed free of charge under the Volkswagen limited new-car or extended warranty, whichever applies at the time of service.
