2013-2014 Volkswagen Idle Issue

The problem: The engine may idle rough and stumble upon acceleration. This may be due to faulty engine control module software maladjusting the valve timing.
Vehicles affected by service bulletin:
- 2013 Volkswagen Jetta
- 2014 Volkswagen Jetta
- 2013 Volkswagen Beetle
- 2014 Volkswagen Beetle
- 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
- 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
- 2014 Volkswagen Passat
Corrective action: Dealers will update the engine control module software.
Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Volkswagen’s limited new-vehicle, powertrain or federal emissions warranty, whichever applies.
