Vehicles Affected: Approximately 9,000 model-year 2013-16 Audi A8 and S8 luxury sedans

The Problem: The fuel supply line for the high-pressure fuel pump may become porous and leak fuel, which increases the risk of fire in the presence of an ignition source.

The Fix: Dealers will install a fuel-pressure damper for free.

What Owners Should Do: Audi began notifying owners Feb. 21. Owners can call the automaker at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
