Which should you buy, 2012 or 2013? The 2013’s refined refresh is worth the wait.
Introduced in 2009, the Acura ZDX gets a mild-refresh for 2013, giving the car a slightly different look. The 2013 model year also marks the end for the nameplate; it’ll go out of production in early 2013.
A redesigned front grille and new power-folding side mirrors are the few aesthetic updates it sees for 2013. The grille features fewer styling cues, giving the model a more elegant look up front.
For the model year, the Acura ZDX will be sold in just one package. Added features include a 435-watt 10-speaker surround-sound audio system, 15-gigabyte music hard drive, navigation system, 8-inch display, multiview camera system, front and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather, a passive keyless entry system with push-button start, and automatic climate control. The quirky SUV also gets a forward collision and lane departure warning systems added as standard.
All the additional features do hit the pocketbook, though; the new 2013 Acura ZDX costs $51,815, including a $895 destination fee. That’s $4,800 more than the outgoing model, though there’s plenty more standard equipment. The price increase officially makes the ZDX the most expensive Acura model — at least until the 2014 Acura RLX hits the scene early next year.
