In many ways, when you choose a subcompact car, you know what you’re getting (or squeezing) into. What owners of the 2013 Mazda2 sacrifice in elbow room and cargo space, they get back in smiles thanks to a fun driving experience, says Cars.com reviewer Jennifer Geiger. The Mazda2’s 100-horsepower engine feels “zippy,” Geiger says. While the cleanly stylish interior is more “grown-up” than the competing Ford Fiesta, hard-plastic surfaces and cheap-looking vinyl need improvement — as does the tight backseat.
