2014-2016 Mazda Notification Issue

CARS.COM — Vehicles affected by service bulletin:

  • 2014 Mazda3
  • 2015 Mazda3
  • 2016 Mazda6
  • 2016 Mazda CX-5

The problem: Drivers who use the “flexible” setting for oil changes in their maintenance monitor may note the oil change notification will not work. This is due to improper control logic of the powertrain control module.

Corrective action: Dealers will reprogram the PCM to eliminate the problem.

Warranty info: This service bulletin is being performed free of charge under the new vehicle warranty.
