Mazda Updates CX-5, Mazda6 for 2016
Mazda’s been busy at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show: The automaker debuted an all-new subcompact crossover, the CX-3; showed off a redesigned MX-5 Miata roadster; and unveiled updates to its midsize car and compact crossover. Both the Mazda6 and CX-5 get a mildly face-lifted exterior, revised control layout, new cabin materials and additional connectivity systems for 2016.

Mazda’s compact SUV was new for 2012, and the automaker has updated it slightly for every model year since its launch. For 2016, the CX-5’s face gets a slightly bolder grille with new metallic gray accents. The headlights have a revised interior layout, and Mazda’s “signature” LED lighting is optional with the Technology Package.
The Mazda6’s updates are similar. Outside, the sedan wears a revised winged grille design and new LED headlamps. Inside, it also gets the same instrument panel tweaks as the CX-5 as well as the latest version of the Mazda Connect multimedia system and an electronic parking brake. Mazda says the revised sedan also gets similar suspension and noise reduction updates for 2016 for a smother, quieter drive; the Drive Selection is also newly available on the Mazda6.
