Vehicle Overview

This is the 13th generation of the Ford F-Series pickup truck in a segment that has been gaining strength for several years. The F-150 is the No. 1 seller in the segment and is the first large-volume vehicle to have a fully aluminum body. Competitors include the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra.
New for 2016
An available Pro Trailer Backup Assist system lets the driver use a control knob to make backing up a trailer easier. There are also new special edition appearance packages for the XLT and Lariat trim levels that feature 20-inch anodized wheels, an anodized grille, black running boards, smoked headlights, seats with Alcantara inserts, red contrast stitching, and special graphics and badges. Ford’s new Sync 3 multimedia system is available, and the 5.0-liter V-8 engine can be prepped to run on compressed natural gas or propane.
