CARS.COM
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,000 model-year 2017 Buick LaCrosse sedans
The Problem: The electrical connectors for the electronic power steering system may not be properly sealed, which may cause water to enter and corrode the connectors enough to lose power steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and correct the seal seating as well as secure the electronic power steering connector seals for free.
What Owners Should Do: Buick manufacturer GM has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners can call Buick at 800-521-7300, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
