2017 Honda CR-V Review: Photo Gallery

CARS.COM — Compact crossovers are on a sales streak, and Honda has one of the most popular. For 2017, the CR-V got its biggest makeover in years. It’s bigger and more powerful this year, and it also wears more masculine styling.

Outside, the revised CR-V wears a more upright, flat-front nose — a departure from the previous model’s curvier, pointer face. More exterior chrome and LED headlights and taillights on uplevel models give it a more upscale look.

Inside, there’s a redesigned instrument panel that uses more upscale materials; the overall look is clean and modern. Even better is the new 7-inch Display Audio multimedia panel in the dash: It sits upon the console like a personal tablet and has a revised optional satellite-based navigation system that has been developed in conjunction with Garmin and — even better — the new system features a volume knob.

Another cabin highlight is additional backseat head- and legroom thanks to an almost 2-inch stretch to the wheelbase.

We pit the CR-V against six other compact SUVs to determine which is the best compact SUV for 2017. Stay tuned for the results of our Challenge to find out. In the meantime, check out the gallery above.
