What it is: The Cayenne S E-Hybrid features a plug-in charger, has a 10.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that lets it operate in all-electric mode up to 78 mph, according to Porsche. It also uses a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine making 333 horsepower; when combined with the electric motor the SUV carries a system rating of 416 hp.

What it is: The Porsche Cayenne luxury SUV seats five and has standard all-wheel drive. A range of engines are offered, from a base V-6 to a twin-turbo V-8. Competitors include the BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class.
New for 2017
A new limited-run Platinum Edition features bi-xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights, front and rear parking sensors, wheel-arch extensions, gloss-black trim, 20-inch wheels, leather sport seats with Alcantara simulated-suede inserts, and illuminated stainless-steel door sills. There’s also a new entertainment system for the Cayenne.
