What it is: The Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickup trucks are available in three cab styles: regular cab, crew cab and Mega Cab. Buyers can choose single or dual rear wheels and one of two cargo-box lengths. These trucks can seat up to six people in certain configurations. V-8 engines that run on gas and compressed natural gas are available, along with a six-cylinder Cummins diesel that generates up to 900 pounds-feet of torque. Competitors include the Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD and Ford F-Series Super Duty.
New for 2017
The Power Wagon model has been revised with changes to the cabin and exterior including heritage graphics. There’s also a new 4×4 Off-Road Package for the 2500 that includes hill descent control, tow hooks, a skid plate for the transfer case, Bilstein shocks, a limited-slip differential, wheel flares and Off Road decals.
