What it is: Toyota’s full-size Avalon sedan received a mild makeover inside and out last year. It comes with a standard V-6 engine, but a gas-electric hybrid drivetrain is also offered. The Avalon seats five people and competes with the Chevrolet Impala, Ford Taurus and Hyundai Azera.
New for 2017
Toyota Safety Sense P is now standard on all trim levels. It includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and prevention, automatic high-beam headlights and adaptive cruise control.
