Vehicles Affected: Approximately 340 model-year 2019-20 Buick Regal sedans
The Problem: The driver or front passenger seat frames may have an improperly welded lower crossbar, which may not provide adequate protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the crossbar welds; if the crossbar is improperly welded the seat will be replaced for free.
What Owners Should Do: Buick manufacturer GM did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Buick at 800-521-7300, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
