2019-2020 Mitsubishi Outlander, Outlander PHEV Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 3,200 model-year 2019-20 Mitsubishi Outlander SUVs and model-year 2019 Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid SUVs
The Problem: The seat belt for the right-side second-row seat may have been assembled incorrectly and may not properly restrain the occupant, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the right-side second-row seat belt and replace it, as necessary, for free.
What Owners Should Do: Mitsubishi will begin notifying owners July 14. Owners can call the automaker at 888-648-7820, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
