Vehicles Affected: Approximately 14,000 model-year 2019 Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid SUVs

The Problem: A damaged connector in the audio display unit may cause the backup camera system to not activate, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the audio display unit with a new one for free.

What Owners Should Do: Toyota will notify owners by first-class mail no later than early October. Owners can call Toyota at 800-331-4331, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
