The Genesis G70 is receiving light equipment and package updates for the 2023 model year to keep the luxury sedan fresh in the face of tightening competition from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Genesis is also bumping up the price slightly to $40,525 (all pricing includes the $1,125 destination fee).

Base 2.0T models still get a 252-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a 365-hp, twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 is optional, and both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The biggest change comes in the packages: The Prestige Package on four-cylinder models has been renamed the 2.0T Sport Prestige Package and adds a few extras atop the old package. Meanwhile, the 3.3T model’s Sport Prestige Package now includes a power operated trunk.

Rear-wheel drive remains standard, with all-wheel drive optional. All 2023 G70 models now get 19-inch wheels standard, and Siberian Ice and Mallorca Blue are leaving the color lineup; Genesis has not yet confirmed if any colors will replace them.
