Just as it did in 2022 with the Wrangler EcoDiesel, Jeep is ending production of the Gladiator EcoDiesel with a short run of special-edition Rubicon FarOut builds. Limited to 1,000 units, the 2023 FarOut edition combines popular Gladiator Rubicon options with unique badging and graphics.
The FarOut rides on black 17-inch wheels and 33-inch mud-terrain tires, with body-color fenders, a black grille, a steel front bumper, and a hood graphic and tailgate badge identifying it as a diesel. A unique FarOut badge is also affixed to the tailgate. Functional upgrades include a spray-in bedliner as well as the LED Lighting, Cold Weather, Trailer-Tow and Heavy-Duty Electrical, and Safety Group option packages. Inside, the FarOut sports black leather seats and a black leather dash, both with red accents, plus all-weather floormats.
The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine produces 260 horsepower and 442 pounds-feet of torque; it’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
The Gladiator Rubicon FarOut stickers at $71,790, including $1,795 for delivery, within a couple weeks’ worth of hefty grocery bills of a similarly equipped regular-production Gladiator EcoDiesel. Jeep is taking orders for the FarOut special edition now through the end of September.
