It’s not just a prettier face, though. Buick claims the new Envision has the most standard safety features it’s ever put into a vehicle. While the price of entry to an Envision raises with all the extra features, it’s close to what the lowest-tier AWD 2023 models were but includes significantly more standard equipment. Here’s everything coming this summer to Buick’s popular compact SUV.
Taking Convenience and Safety Up a Notch

One big upgrade we’re excited to see is the inclusion of more standard safety and convenience features. Popular features including intersection automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicycle braking, rear cross-traffic braking, a 360-degree camera, blind zone steering assist, advanced adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams are all now standard on the Envision.
Additionally, a nine-speaker Bose audio system and head-up display that used to be optional are now included in the Envision’s standard tech.
Familiar Drivetrain, Now With Standard AWD
For 2024, the Envision keeps the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the previous model, which makes 228 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque, and once again, it is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Envision’s twin-clutch AWD system also carries over, but now it’s standard across the entire lineup. The 2024 Envision also rides on an independent front and rear suspension system, with the top-trim Avenir also receiving a Continuous Damping Control system to further isolate it from bumps on the road.
Bold New Looks
The new Envision now looks a lot more like the rest of Buick’s lineup, adopting the more modern styling language set by the brand’s Wildcat concept car from a couple years ago. Narrower “checkmark” headlamp and taillamp designs, a sleeker emblem-less grille and Buick’s modernized logo on the hood finally bring the Envision into the current decade.
As with the rest of Buick’s lineup, the Envision will offer three trims: the base Preferred, the mid-grade/sporty-looking ST and the luxed-out Avenir. The Preferred gets 18-inch wheels standard, while the ST and Avenir trims get 20-inch wheels in dark gray and metallic silver, respectively. The Envision also gains two new colors for 2024: Calypso Blue Metallic and Smokey Amethyst Metallic.

The inside features an even more dramatic redesign, as Buick claims the Envision’s new 30-inch diagonal infotainment and gauge mega-touchscreen is the widest in its class. Users can customize the display with different view styles and widgets for things like the audio system and navigation. The system runs off of Google’s in-car tech and features Google Assistant, Google Maps and the ability to install other apps as you please. There’s still an array of climate controls in the center of the dash, as well as physical controls on the steering wheel for controlling the stereo, phone, cruise control and other menus. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard on all trims.
Buyers can add pops of color inside, too, with interior color schemes that include Cool Gray with Slate Blue accents as well as Garnet with Ebony accents. The interior features a new leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard, with the ST variant receiving a flat-bottom wheel to go with its sportier appearance package.
