Polestar announced pricing and availability for its latest electric fastback SUV, the 4, at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. The 4 is the new middle child in the brand’s lineup, and provided you’re cool with the controversial decision to ditch its rear window, it offers an impressive list of standard features starting with the base Long Range Single Motor variant at $56,300 (all prices include a $1,400 destination fee). Below is the full rundown on its trims and packages.

The 2025 Polestar 4 debuts in the U.S. with a choice of two drivetrains, both of which are mated to a “long-range” battery pack. The rear-wheel-drive Long Range Single Motor version features 272 horsepower and 253 pounds-feet of torque from (as the name suggests) a single rear electric motor. That motor is fed by a 102-kilowatt-hour battery that’s capable of 200-kilowatt DC fast-charging and 11-kW AC charging. While official EPA figures have yet to be released, Polestar claims it can do 300 miles on a single charge and go from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds.

The Long Range Dual Motor variant is a moderate bump in price, but you end up with the fastest production car the brand has yet released with a 3.7-second 0-60 time. It shares the same battery size and charging speeds as the Long Range Single Motor, but it features one motor per axle good for a combined output of 544 hp and 506 pounds-feet of torque. Despite this extra speed, Polestar claims the Long Range Dual Motor is capable of going 270 miles on a single charge.

The Polestar 4’s base features include adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with a 3D view, powered soft-close liftgate, heat pump, wireless phone charging, 20-inch alloy wheels, Polestar digital key and illuminated front Polestar badge. Both front seats are power-adjustable, with an eight-way adjustable seat for the driver and six-way adjustment for the passenger. On top of that, the Polestar 4 features a stock panoramic glass roof that should keep the interior from feeling too panel-van-like for rear passengers with no window out back. For the driver, a wide-angle high-definition screen takes the place of the rearview mirror. As with many new EVs, new features and software improvements will be available through over-the-air updates, as well.

Buyers looking for more can add one of four available options packs to their Polestar 4. The Pilot Pack includes the Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system and lane departure steering assist; it’s standard on all Long Range Dual Motor cars. The Pro Pack adds 21-inch wheels, gold valve stem caps and black seat belts with a gold stripe.

The Plus Pack adds a graphical head-up display, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, three-zone climate control, a rear infotainment screen, heated steering wheel, 11-kW AC charging and Harmon Kardon premium audio. The seats get a major upgrade in the Plus Pack, too: 12-way power-adjustable front seats with a manual leg extension and power-reclining heated seats in the rear. The interior comes with faux leather upholstery.

Long Range Dual Motor cars equipped with the Performance Pack include the Plus Pack along with extra performance mods, including gold Brembo brake calipers, 22-inch forged wheels shod with summer performance tires, upgraded brake discs, an upgraded performance chassis, gold seat belts and gold valve stem caps.
