48,000-Plus Alfa Romeo Tonales, Dodge Hornets Recalled for Rearview Camera Issue
Stellantis is recalling more than 48,400 examples of its related Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet compact SUVs (the two share many components, including a powertrain) over an issue with the rearview camera.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2023-25 Tonales and Hornets. The rearview cameras in these vehicles may have been built with a defect in them, preventing them from displaying when the vehicle is in Reverse. An inoperable rearview camera reduces the driver’s visibility behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, dealers will update the software or replace the radio, as necessary, for free. Owner notification letters will be sent June 4, but those with further questions can contact the brands’ parent automaker Stellantis at 800-853-1403 (Stellantis’ numbers for this recall are 13C and 38C), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
