56,600 Mitsubishi Sedans, Hatchbacks and SUVs: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 56,600 model-year 2008-10 Mitsubishi Lancer sedans, model-year 2009-10 Lancer Evolution sedans, model-year 2010 Lancer Sportback hatchbacks and model-year 2007-10 Outlander SUVs

The Problem: Sunroof glass may crack and detach from the sunroof assembly while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace sunroof glass assembly, as necessary, for free. 

What Owners Should Do: Mitsubishi will begin notifying owners March 27. Owners can call the automaker at 888-648-7820, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
