97,000 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer SUVs Recalled for Inaccessible Seat Belts
After issuing a recall for nearly 45,000 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs in August, Jeep parent automaker Stellantis is recalling the models again over an issue with the third-row seat belts. This time, the recall affects more than 97,000 examples.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2022-24 Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers. The third-row belt buckles in these vehicles may be inaccessible or damaged, preventing occupants from being able to buckle up and increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt buckle, as necessary, for free. Stellantis will begin notifying owners Dec. 15, but those with further questions in the meantime can contact the automaker at 800-853-1403 (the number for this recall is A7A), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
