All-New 2020 Mazda CX-30 SUV Starts Under $23,000


We got our first look at Mazda’s all-new 2020 CX-30, earlier this year, and the Japanese automaker has released more details on the small SUV, including pricing, at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.

All CX-30s use a 186-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that drives a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is a $1,400 option on all trim levels.
The base front-drive CX-30 starts at $22,945, including a $1,045 destination charge. (If you live in Alaska the destination charge is a slightly higher $1,090.) For that you get 16-inch aluminum wheels, automatic LED headlights with high-beam control, LED taillights, an 8.8-inch dashboard screen, Bluetooth streaming audio, rain-sensing windshield wipers, remote keyless entry and push-button start. Standard active safety features include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist and a driver-drowsiness monitor.

The front-drive Select trim starts at $24,945, including destination, and it adds 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, advanced keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, simulated leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and a rear-seat armrest with cupholders.
The Preferred model starts at $27,245 and includes a Bose premium stereo, satellite radio with a three-month trial, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat with a memory feature and a gloss-black grille.
The top-of-the-line Premium model is $29,245 for front-wheel drive, and it adds a head-up display, leather upholstery, shift paddles, a power liftgate, a power moonroof, adaptive headlights, roof rails, and different LED headlights and taillights.

Mazda also announced that the CX-30 will come with a three-year trial of Mazda Connected Services, an app-based telematics service that lets you control certain functions like the door locks, remotely start the SUV and monitor various vehicle aspects like fuel level and tire pressure. There’s also a Wi-Fi hot spot with a six-month/2GB data trial.
