The BMW X6 is slated to receive a facelift for 2024, but before that happens, the German automaker is using the 2023 model year to make some pricing revisions on the current-generation X6 lineup before it passes the torch, with the new starting price now at $70,920 (all pricing includes $995 destination fee).
The X6 keeps its sporty exterior styling, but the interior gets a different type of faux-leather upholstery standard in all variants. Both the Premium and Executive packages no longer include gesture control, but the Premium package adds wireless device charging. Additionally, a head-up display is now a stand-alone option for the 40i; it’s part of the Premium and Executive packages on other trims.
Performance hardware is carried over, too, with the base X6 xDrive40i powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that makes 335 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, M models are split in two: The X6 M50i is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 that makes 523 hp, while the X6 M bumps power up to 600 hp. As for EPA ratings, the inline-six model gets 21/25/23 mpg city/highway/combined; the V-8s predictably get worse fuel economy, with the M50i getting 16/22/18 mpg and the M and M Competition variants getting 13/18/15 mpg. All-wheel drive is standard on all trims.
