It’s been pretty quiet on the recall front for Japanese automaker Subaru, with its last major recall way back in December. Unfortunately, that relatively tranquil period is over: More than 188,000 Impreza sedans and hatchbacks are now being recalled for damaged light reflectors.
Affected vehicles include model-year 2017-19 Impreza compact cars. Both the left- and right-side low-beam reflectors may not adequately illuminate the road, reducing visibility for the driver and increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the faulty headlight assemblies, as needed, for free. Subaru will begin notifying owners Oct. 11. Those with additional questions can call the automaker at 844-373-6614 (Subaru’s number for this recall is WRG-22), or visit NHTSA’s website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
