Fresh on the heels of the Jeep Beach Gladiator and Wrangler that debuted at the end of February, Jeep is honoring another of the South’s cultural hubs with the 2024 Gladiator Texas Trail. Only available in Texas, which Jeep says is the largest Gladiator market in the U.S., the Texas Trail is based on the Sport S trim level and features numerous unique interior and exterior tweaks.

Jeep Bless Texas

In addition to exclusive hood and tailgate decals, which bear “1836” markings in honor of the year Texas declared its independence from Mexico, the Gladiator Texas Trail wears body-color fender flares and hard top — the latter usually limited to the more expensive Rubicon and Mojave trims. It rides on black 17-inch wheels with 32-inch mud tires, and steel rock rails protect the lower body during hardcore off-road maneuvers.

There’s more upscale equipment inside, where the Texas Trail features black leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, and remote start. Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and power windows and locks are all standard Sport S gear.

Like the rest of the Gladiator lineup, the Texas Trail is powered by a 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine making 260 pounds-feet of torque. While a six-speed manual transmission is standard on the Gladiator Sport S, the Texas Trail is only available with the eight-speed automatic.

Pricing and Availability

A similarly optioned Sport S stickers for more than $52,000, which makes the Texas Trail something of a bargain at $49,985 (all prices include $1,895 destination). So, you might consider the unique decals what Texas was in 1836 — free. For buyers in the Lone Star State, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail is on sale now.
