In addition to an all-electric powertrain that puts out a combined 375 hp, the Trailseeker comes standard with the automaker’s signature Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, which is paired with Subaru’s X-Mode drive modes that allow drivers to choose between Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes. Grip Control and Downhill Assist also work to help aid traction in sketchy situations.

Subaru’s EyeSight suite of driver safety aids is standard on every trim of the 2026 Trailseeker. It includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, front and rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, traffic jam assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, emergency steering and a blind spot monitoring system.

The Trailseeker lineup starts with the base Premium trim. It comes standard with features like a 14-inch infotainment display running Subaru’s Starlink system, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, dual wireless phone chargers, heated seats and 18-inch wheels.

Moving up to the Trailseeker Limited gets you the aforementioned features plus a Harmon Kardon audio system, 360-degree camera system, hands-free power liftgate, heated rear seats and 20-inch wheels.

At the top of the lineup sits the Trailseeker Premium. In addition to coming with the features of the other two trims, it gets a gloss-black hood accent, panoramic glass moonroof, ventilated front seats and a unique feature Subaru calls radiant leg warmers. This trim also gets the option of a two-tone paint scheme (only available with the Crystal White Pearl exterior paint) and a two-tone black-and-blue interior ($300 extra).

Powertrain Specs, Charging and Range

Power for the 2026 Trailseeker comes from an AWD dual-motor setup that puts out a total of 375 hp; that’s enough to scoot the Trailseeker to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, a feat that Subaru says makes the electric SUV the fastest car the marque has ever sold in the stateside. A 74.7-kilowatt-hour battery helps the Trailseeker achieve up to a manufacturer-estimated 280 miles of range (official EPA figures are not yet available).

When it comes time to charge, the Trailseeker should get owners back on the road quickly. Subaru says that with charging speeds of up to 150 kilowatts on a DC fast charger, the Trailseeker can charge from 10%-80% in just 28 minutes. If you need to tow — and don’t mind taking a chunk out of your overall range to do it — the Trailseeker is rated to haul up to 3,500 pounds.
