Just a few days after announcing that it would spin off the Genesis name into its own separate brand, Hyundai released the first images of the new division’s inaugural vehicle: the G90. The automaker did not immediately respond to questions about a U.S. release date, but the full-size luxury sedan’s Korean version, the EQ900, is slated to launch there in early December.

The G90 is the first of a sextet of new luxury cars Genesis plans to release within the next five years. Its design style, which the brand’s newly formed design team Prestige Design Division calls “Athletic Elegance,” is actually a pretty apt descriptor. The car shown in the renderings is long and contoured in profile, with a narrow greenhouse and massive wheels accentuating its muscular presence, while its aggressive-looking front end is dominated by a large, hexagonal grille and peering, wraparound headlights.
