Hyundai’s redesigned Tucson compact SUV just went on sale, so it makes sense that a new one is also on the way from corporate cousin Kia. The automaker announced that the 2017 Sportage will make its global debut in September at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The fourth-generation Sportage wears an overall more imposing look than the outgoing model thanks to a wider but narrower version of the brand’s hallmark grille, more raked hood and angular headlights as well as flared wheel arches. Fog lights in a quad design echo those of the Kia Sorento SUV and Sedona minivan.
The new Sportage will take the stage on Sept. 15. Check back with us for details.
