The recalls continue for Ford, with the latest missive affecting more than 41,800 examples of its Corsair SUV from luxury arm Lincoln. The recall involves an issue with the rearview camera.
Affected vehicles include model-year 2020-22 Corsairs. Water may enter into the rearview camera connectors and cause the camera image to appear distorted or not appear at all, increasing the risk of a crash.
As a fix, dealers will replace the rearview camera harness and rearview camera for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 18, and second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Those with further questions in the meantime may contact Ford at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 25S83), the National Traffic Safety Administration vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit the NHTSA website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
