Jeep parent company Stellantis’ latest recall involves 44,700 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer luxury SUVs and an issue with the B-pillar that may interfere with the vehicles’ airbags.
Affected vehicles include model-year 2022-23 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs. The issue is with the upper B-pillar interior trim, which may not be fully secured and could interfere with the deployment of the side curtain airbags, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
To fix the issue, dealers will inspect and reseat or replace the trim pieces, as necessary, for free. Stellantis will begin notifying owners Sept. 22, but those with further questions in the meantime can contact Stellantis at 800-853-1403 (the number for this recall is 76A), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
