Ford is recalling more than 63,800 Maverick pickup trucks over an issue with the airbag-indicator light, which may become loose or dislodged.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2025 Mavericks. The passenger airbag-indicator light inside the instrument panel may become loose or dislodged and fail to warn the driver and front passenger of a deactivated airbag, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

To fix the issue, dealers will install airbag-indicator-light retaining clips for free. Ford will notify owners June 9, but those with further questions can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 25C17), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
