Nissan is recalling a population of almost 80,000 of its Frontier and Kicks vehicles over an issue with the center display unit when shifting into Reverse.
Affected vehicles include model-year 2025 Frontiers and Kicks. The center information display becomes blank when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse, reducing the driver’s visibility when backing up and increasing the risk of a crash.
To fix the issue, dealers will update the software on the vehicle’s center information display for free. Letters notifying owners of the issue are expected to be mailed July 1, but those with further questions can contact Nissan at 866-436-7332 (Nissan’s recall number for this issue is 25V324), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
