Ram Debuts 2018 Lone Star Silver HD in Texas

It's been more than 15 years since Ram debuted its first Texas-exclusive trim level, the Lone Star Edition — the first of its kind at the time. , the more upscale Lone Star Silver Edition was added to the half-ton Ram 1500 lineup, and because of the trim's popularity, Ram is adding it to select configurations of the Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups. The new trim debuted today at the in Dallas.

Offered only for 2018 heavy-duty crew cabs, the Lone Star Silver Edition offers a choice of 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains, and 5.7-liter or 6.4-liter V-8 Hemi or the 6.7-liter Cummins inline six-cylinder engines. Other trim features include a unique mesh grille with chrome surrounds, a bright belt molding, chrome rearview mirrors, side steps, tow hooks, and 20-inch wheels and tires. Of course, the Lone Star Silver star will be mounted on the grille and tailgate.

Lone Star Silver Ram 2500/3500s will offer split-color cloth-and-vinyl seats in either Canyon Brown with Light Frost Beige or Black with Diesel Grey. Ram 2500 Lone Star Silver pickups (4×2, 5.7-liter V-8) will start at $46,130 and Ram 3500 Lone Star Silver pickups will start at $48,570 (all prices include destination charges). They go on sale this fall.
