Given that there's not much significantly new about model-year 2018 Ram 1500s, 2500s or 3500s, you can't blame Ram for trying to play to its strengths. We're always happy to see a pickup manufacturer play around the edges with restyled versions of existing trim and option packages.
Ram has refreshed the Big Horn and Lone Star (Texas only) Black packages for the 2018 Ram 1500. As you'd expect, Big Horn Black is only offered in black, with all-black exterior features including a black grille, black badging, black wheels and blacked-out headlamp bezels. Ram 1500 Big Horn and Lone Star Black 4×2 models will start at $46,685 (all prices include destination).
In keeping with the refreshed black-out theme, the 2018 Ram Sport (offered in both light-duty and heavy-duty configurations) will boast a new look with new body-colored Ram lettering on the grille. Distinguished by monochromatic performance cues, the Sport will be offered with a choice of black wheels and badges or polished aluminum wheels and chrome badges. The Sport is a specific trim level for the Ram 1500 and an option package for the 2500 and 3500 trucks, available on Big Horn, Lone Star and Laramie trims. Colors for the Ram Sport are: Blue Streak (1500 only), Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red, Flame Red (1500 only), Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic (1500 only) and Pearl White (Laramie HDs only) and True Blue (1500 only).
The Ram 1500 Sport 4×2 will start at $45,790 and the Ram Sport Heavy Duty Sport Appearance Package on a Ram 2500 4×2 will start at $46,730.
