Tesla Recalls 63,000-Plus Cybertrucks for Lights That Are Too Bright
Back in March, Tesla recalled more than 46,000 examples of its Cybertruck for detaching trim that could become a road hazard. Now, the automaker is recalling the vehicle over another issue that could disrupt other drivers: lights that are too bright. More than 63,600 Cybertrucks are involved.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2024-26 Cybertrucks. The vehicle controller software in affected trucks may cause the front parking lights to be too bright, affecting other drivers’ visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
The automaker has already released a free over-the-air software update to resolve the issue. Tesla will begin notifying owners Dec. 13, but those with further questions in the meantime can call Tesla at 877-798-3752 (Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-25-00-008), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
