The 13th annual Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America awards have been handed out and the Ford F-Series won two of the four pickup truck categories for 2018.
An automotive research firm, Vincentric looks at vehicle cost of ownership by collecting data and studying vehicles in eight key cost factors over several years. Those factors are depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity costs and normal repairs.
Commercial fleet vehicles were evaluated in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., using 20 different ownership/mileage scenarios along with trim level, cab configuration and driveline setup. The winners proved to be the least costly vehicles to own in their respective pickup truck class. Among the full-size van winners, both the Ford Transit and GMC Express diesel won five of the six categories.
