What’s New on the 2026 Toyota Sequoia?

After adding an upscale 1794 Edition to the lineup for the 2025 model year, Toyota’s full-size Sequoia SUV continues its trek into premium SUV territory with an update to its top trim, the Capstone, for 2026. Aside from a price increase, the Sequoia otherwise largely carries over for the new model year.

What’s New on the 2026 Toyota Sequoia?

The biggest news is the update of the top Capstone trim, which adds more premium materials for 2026. Inside, the Capstone has new Shale Premium Textured leather-trimmed seats.

Other trims see minor changes: The Limited variant now gets black and gray leather-trimmed seats with a new pattern and contrast stitching. In addition, power-folding third-row seats are now standard across the lineup, and the TRD Pro trim gets a new exclusive exterior color called Wave Maker.

What’s Not New on the 2026 Toyota Sequoia?

The rest of the Sequoia lineup carries over, including its tech, safety features and powertrain. Standard is a 437-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 hybrid powertrain paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the SR5 and Limited trim levels; four-wheel drive is optional on these trims and standard on all others.

All Sequoias continue to come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning with pedestrian and oncoming vehicle detection, emergency steering assist, lane departure warning with steering assist, adaptive cruise control and lane-centering steering. The Sequoia also has standard automatic high beams, road-sign assist using its forward-facing camera, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, and a rear-seat occupant reminder.

The 2026 Sequoia continues to come with a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and can be had with a standard 8-inch or optional 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.

How Much Does the 2026 Toyota Sequoia Cost?

The 2026 Toyota Sequoia in base SR5 4×2 trim starts at $66,120 (all prices include $2,095 destination fee), a $1,600 increase over the outgoing version. Pricing for the full lineup is below; 4WD is an additional $3,000 on the SR5 and Limited trims.
